Fellowship with the Faithful

"And it came to pass, as they [Elijah and Elisha] still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven" (2 Kings 2:11).  "Teach me Thy way, O LORD; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name" (Psalm 86:11).  "Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not" (Proverbs 8:33).  "There be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ" (Galatians 1:7). 

How good it is to fellowship 

With those who love and serve our Savior,

Who know the truth that will equip

His faithful servants with His favor. 

Elijah with Elisha talked

Until the fiery chariot came. 

With hearts united they had walked

To glorify our Savior's name.

It's wise for us to walk with those

Who faithfully have served the Lord

To hear instruction they disclose

With lifelong lessons thus explored. 

We have our  fellowship with You,

O Lord, our faithful God and Guide.  

We walk with those who love You too,

And not with those who turn aside.
