Faithful and True in the Fulness of Time

"With my mouth will I make known Thy faithfulness to all generations… I have sworn unto David My servant, thy Seed will I establish forever, and build up thy throne to all generations… Justice and judgment are the habitation of Thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before Thy face" (Psalm 89:1,3,4,14).  "When the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons" (Galatians 4:4,5). 

Let's talk about the faithfulness

Of God to every generation. 

As David's Seed, He came to bless

And rescue us with His salvation. 

His justice has been satisfied

Through Christ who went before His face. 

To bear our judgment, Jesus died

And purged our sin with truth and grace. 

The Word made flesh, Immanuel,

Has come as God had said He would.

Now let us therefore rise to tell

How faithful God is and how good!

Lord, You are faithful and are true! 

In fullness of the time You came,

As You had promised You would do,

To ransom us from sin and shame.
