Works and Worth

"I will remember the works of the LORD… I will meditate also of all Thy work, and talk of Thy doings… who is so great a God as our God?  Thou art the God that doest wonders: Thou hast declared Thy strength among the people" (Psalm 77:11-14).  "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy… for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood… Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing" (Revelation 5:9-12). 

Remember the works of our Lord

And talk of His doings on earth. 

How rightly is Jesus adored

As we meditate on His worth! 

His strength is declared in creation,

Exalting Him as the "I AM." 

We meditate on His salvation

As we sing our praise to the Lamb!

How worthy indeed is our Savior,

Who rescued our souls from such loss,

Extending His mercy and favor

By dying for us on His cross! 

We worship You, Lord, at Your throne!  

Your works and Your worth are the theme

Of songs from the hearts of Your own

Whom You shed Your blood to redeem.
