"O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, Thou shalt purge them away. Blessed is the man whom Thou choosest, and causest to approach unto Thee" (Psalm 65:2-4). " If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?... If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?" (Luke 11:11,13).
How kind is God
who hears our prayers,
Though our
iniquities prevail!
He bids us cast
on Him our cares,
For His
compassions never fail.
How graciously our
Savior chose
To pay our
ransom on His cross!
For us He lived,
He died, and rose
To purge away
our sins as dross.
In view of God's
compassion shown,
How can we ever
doubt His love?
Before we pray,
our needs are known
By Christ who
intercedes above.
This privilege
of our prayers, O Lord,
Is greater than
we comprehend
As we approach
with hearts outpoured
To speak with
You, our dearest Friend!
