"Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for Thy name's sake" (Psalm 79:9). "The eye is not satisfied with seeing" (Ecclesiastes 1:8). "The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth… Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world… Ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man" (John 1:14,29,51).
The God of our
salvation came
To purge away
our sins as dross.
We magnify His
holy name
And glory in our
Savior's cross!
As we behold the
great I AM,
The Word
Incarnate, Jesus Christ,
We see His glory
as the Lamb
Who for our sake
was sacrificed!
Our sight could
not be satisfied
With all the
boasted works of men.
Behold the Son
of God who died,
Who rose, and
who will come again!
O Lord, this satisfying
sight
Of grace and
truth in You so full,
Which opens
heaven, gives delight
That satisfies
the longing soul!
