"As for man, his days are as grass... But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him" (Psalm 103:15,17) "The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10). "Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts" (Zechariah 8:21). "[Stephen] saw the glory of God... and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God" (Acts 7:55,56).
The
days of man are like the grass,
As
transient as a fading flower.
How
quickly does our lifetime pass,
But
God is an enduring Tower.
No
wonder, then, we're called to run
And
find our Refuge in the Lord
Before
life's little day is done;
Let
not His calling be ignored!
So
let us go to God with speed
And
seek the Lord of hosts today!
The
Lord who knows our every need
Now
bids us to draw near and pray.
O
Lord, like Stephen then, when speaking,
Had
seen the glory of Your face,
We
speedily are likewise seeking
The
timely mercies of Your grace.
