Great among Gentiles

"Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power" (Psalm 110:3).  "As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country" (Proverbs 25:25 ).  "From the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same My name shall be great among the Gentiles" (Malachi 1:11).  "When they had preached the Gospel to that city, and had taught many... they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles" (Acts 14:21,27). 

How great is Christ Jesus our Savior,

And great is the day of His power

In which He's extending His favor

As we are redeeming each hour! 

As cold waters quenching the thirst

Of souls that are in a dry land,

The good news that we have rehearsed

Is sent by our Savior's command.

The Gospel of Christ we proclaim

Declaring how great His name is,  

To Jew and to Gentile the same,

Rejoices all those who are His.

How great among Gentiles You are,

Exalted, O Lord, in each nation

That hears the good news from afar  

And joyfully finds Your salvation!
