"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation" (Psalm 95:1). "The memory of the Just is blessed... and He addeth no sorrow with it" (Proverbs 10:7,22). "According to the word that I covenanted with you... so My Spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not" (Haggai 2:5). "Jesus... stood in the midst and... showed unto them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord" (John 20:19,20).
O
come with joyful celebration
And
sing to Jesus Christ our Savior,
Who
is the Rock of our salvation,
The
Fountainhead of heaven's favor!
The
memory of the Just is blest
When
we are musing on our Lord
As
all His promises attest
That
Christ Himself is our Reward.
As
Jesus showed His hands and side
To
His disciples in the room,
They
worshipped Him who for them died,
Rejoicing
in His empty tomb.
Receive
our joyful praise, O Christ,
As
we approach You with thanksgiving:
To
save us You were sacrificed;
To
keep us You are ever living!
