"As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I awake with Thy likeness" (Psalm 17:15). "The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death" (Proverbs 14:32).
The
length of our lifetime is not what it seems
When
seen from eternity's view.
Its
treasures and pleasures are like empty dreams
That
vanish, as dreams always do.
When
this life is over, God's people awake
With
all who are saved by God's grace.
Upon
them the likeness of Christ they shall take,
As
they are beholding His face.
How
sweet is this prospect, our great expectation,
That
not even death can defeat!
Yes,
we shall be like Him! Oh, what a salvation,
That
finds us in Christ so complete!
The
wicked, like chaff, shall be driven away,
Who
would not respond to His voice.
Yet
still He is calling, while it is Today,
To
come as they still have a choice.
O
Lord, we give thanks that You paid such a price
To
ransom our souls from the grave!
You
came as our Priest with the great Sacrifice:
It
was Your own life that You gave!
Awaiting
awakening when we shall be
Reflecting
Your likeness, now comforts us, Lord.
Until
that day comes, help us daily to see
The
way to show others salvation's reward.
