"When he was come to the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed Him that he might be with Him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis (lit. the 10-city region) how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel" (Mark 5:18-20).
The Lord of the harvest has called us to sow,
Yet He has determined the place
That each of servants should prayerfully go
To publish His marvelous grace.
Our working companions, our circle of friends,
And families the Lord set us in
Are fields of harvest to reap where He sends
And publish salvation from sin.
O Lord, we are objects of wondrous compassion!
How great are the things You have done!
In times of Your choosing and places You fashion,
We'd speak so that souls may be won.
