"He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord" (Psalm 113:9). "There are... things that are never satisfied... the grave and the barren womb" (Proverbs 3015,16). "And being not weak in faith, he [Abraham] considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform" (Romans 4:19-21).
Praise the Lord who gives new birth
Where barrenness had been!
What miracles He does on earth
Among the sons of men!
How rightly Abraham believed
The promise God had spoken!
The child promised he received,
And barrenness was broken.
The things we deem impossible,
Our God can do with ease.
The barren woman's house is full,
As God the Lord decrees.
In every trial, every storm,
Remember God is true.
What He has promised to perform,
The Lord will surely do.
