"Elisha said… Bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him… And he said, Thus saith the LORD… that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink" (2 Kings 3:14-17). "Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God… As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee" (Psalm 87:3,7). "I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me" (Galatians 2:20).
A drought
brought armies to the brink
Of death, until
a minstrel played
Who prophesied
that they would drink
By God's
provision that He made.
There is no
music now so sweet
That satisfies our
thirsty soul
Than hymns that show
we are complete
In Christ who ransomed
us in full.
In heaven there
are glorious things
That shall
inspire jubilation!
Musicians play,
the ransomed sings,
And joy springs
forth from our salvation.
Musicians of
Your mercy, Lord,
Proclaim the
wonders of Your love
Because Your
life has been outpoured
That we might live
with You above.
