"Let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land… That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God forever" (Joshua 4:22,24). "I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love" (Psalm 119:113). "My son, keep thy father's commandment… For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life" (Proverbs 6:20,23). "Jesus… saith unto them, Have faith in God" (Mark 11:22).
We
ought to train our children well
By
showing them in history
How
God conducted Israel
Both
through the Red and Jordon Sea.
The
danger that is faced today
By
children whom we seek to train
Is
that they're prone to go astray,
Forsaking
truth for what is vain.
The
Word of God shall make them wise
As
they explore His wondrous acts,
In
contrast to the devil's lies,
Destroying
those whom he distracts.
For
training in the truth, O Lord,
We
turn from lies that men applaud
To
show our children the reward
You
give to those who trust in God.
