"She [Rahab] said unto the men… the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath" (Joshua 2:9-11). "Through Thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way" (Psalm 119:104). "The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble" (Proverbs 4:18,19). "A voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son: hear Him" (Mark 9:7).
In
retrospect, we now can see
That
Rahab, after all, was right.
No
matter who would not agree,
She
chose the path of heaven's light.
Upon
this path of understanding,
The
light of God shall lead the way.
It
is the way of God's commanding,
From
which the wicked go astray.
The
Lord can see when hearts are humble,
Like
Rahab, who was right to fear,
But
many in the darkness stumble
With
apathy as wrath draws near.
O
Lord, with Rahab, we rejoice
To
know it's right to seek Your face,
As
we are taught by heaven's voice
To
hear You and to trust Your grace.
