"Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day" (Joshua 6:25). "Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily… For whoso findeth Me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD" (Proverbs 8:35). "Jesus answering said… Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down… but My words shall not pass away" (Mark 13:2,31).
When
Rahab was rewarded well,
Her
household found God's favor too,
Who
came at last to safely dwell
With
those who knew God's words were true.
How
blest are those who daily hear
The
words of Christ, our God and Savior,
To
find His mercy and draw near
With
humble hearts that find His favor.
We
watch and work, as Rahab did,
Persuading
souls to find God's grace
And
all the treasures that are hid
In
Jesus Christ, our Hiding Place.
How
wondrous the account is, Lord,
Of
faith displayed throughout all ages,
As
seen in Rahab's sweet reward
Recorded
in the Scripture's pages.
