“Doth not Wisdom cry?... Whoso findeth Me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD. But he that sinneth against Me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate Me love death” (Proverbs 8:1,35,36). “Christ Jesus… is made unto us Wisdom” (1 Corinthians 1:30). “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Colossians 4:5,6).
Does
not the wisdom of the Savior
Declare
the truth with urgency,
Inviting
all to find His favor
For
time and all eternity?
How
long will scorners keep on scorning
And
mock the truth of coming wrath?
How
long will men refuse God’s warning
And
walk on in their darkened path?
The
one who sins against the Lord
Has
wronged his own soul in the end
Since
he has willfully ignored
The
Christ whom God was pleased to send.
We
walk in wisdom as we plead
With
souls to turn to Jesus Christ.
The
Lord is still their greatest need,
Who
for their souls was sacrificed.
Our
speech should always be with grace
And
salt that will increase their thirst,
So
sinners thus may seek the face
Of
Christ who for their sakes was cursed.
Let
every moment be esteemed
As
precious when we walk each day,
So
time may wisely be redeemed
Persuading
souls who are astray.
Lord,
thank You for the invitation
Which
we present now to the lost
So
they may trust You for salvation,
And
those who scorn may count the cost.
O
Lord, our times are in Your hand,
And
all our hope is found in You.
We
show Your love by Your command
Yet
preach of Wisdom’s warning too.
