“Go, tell Jeroboam… thou hast not been as My servant David… for thou hast gone and made thee other gods... and hast cast Me behind thy back” (1 Kings 4:7-9). “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god… The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance… The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage” (Psalm 16:4-6). “Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more, then, the hearts of the children of men?” (Proverbs 15:11). “They received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:10,11).
For
all mankind there is a choice
Regarding
Jesus Christ the Lord:
To
either choose to heed His voice
Or
turn and let Him be ignored.
Their
sorrows shall be multiplied
Who
turn their backs on Jesus Christ,
Who
for our sins was crucified,
And
for our souls was sacrificed.
How
pleasant, then, are heaven’s lines,
The
heritage our Savior gives,
The
lot which Christ Himself defines
Eternally
because He lives.
The
Lord observes the hearts of men;
He
sees our sinful inclination.
What
more could Christ have offered then?
He
gave HIMSELF for our salvation!
The
choices now are very plain:
To
love the truth or have confusion.
Refusing
Christ for sinners slain
Is
to embrace a strong delusion.
It’s
heaven’s lines of endless grace
Or
lies of hell men choose instead.
The
consequences hearts shall face
Are
in the ages yet ahead.
Lord,
on the cross You fought our strife
To
give us an alternative.
You
set before us death and life,
That
we might choose to look and live.
Receive
our thanks, our Lord and Savior,
For
truth exposing lies of hell,
For
lines of heaven’s saving favor,
And
for the Gospel that we tell.
