“Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow Him… And the people answered him not a word” (1 Kings 18:21). “And without controversy… God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” (1 Timothy 3:16).
Should
not our opinions be guided
By
evidence that we can view?
How
long shall we be undecided
Between
what is false and is true?
The
Lord demonstrates His dominion
In
all of His works of creation.
How
long shall they hold the opinion
That
contradicts true observation.
How
is it today that men pause
Between
the opinions so stated
Regarding
the obvious Cause
Of
all things that God has created?
Historical
proof also came
When
Christ, as prophets had said,
Then
bore on the cross all our shame,
And
afterward rose from the dead.
Our
Savior ascended in glory
And
now He is highly exalted!
In
spite of God’s proof in His story
Amazingly,
some have still halted!
We
thank You, Lord, for the conclusion
We
reach by Your great evidence.
The
world may halt with confusion,
But
they are without a defense!
Lord,
help us to speak to the lost
To
turn them away from their fiction,
So
they may be counting the cost
By
Your Holy Spirit’s conviction!
