“Then she [Ruth] fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?” (Ruth 2:10). “O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise Him, all ye people. For His merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth forever” (Psalm 117:1,2). “I am debtor… I am ready… I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation” (Romans 1:14-16).
How
great the Gospel truly is
Which
God extends to every nation!
We
once were strangers; now we’re HIS
Because
He purchased our salvation!
Consider
Ruth upon her face
Amazed
that she, who was a stranger,
Could
be partaker of such grace
Through
him protecting her from danger.
The
portrait here displayed in Ruth
Should
help us better understand
The
greatness of the Gospel truth
Which
Christ, our Kinsman Savior, planned!
How
great, Lord, is Your lovingkindness
And
truth that You have satisfied!
You
saw us lost in sinful blindness,
You
came to earth, and for us died!
Lord,
we are debtors to the lost,
Since
we are Your ambassadors,
Declaring
the horrific cost
That
You have paid to make us Yours!
Lord,
send us forth in this late hour
With
readiness as we’ve proclaimed
The
greatness of the Gospel’s power
With
love and boldness, unashamed!
