“The
hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them…Man's
goings are of the LORD; how can
a man then understand his own way?” (Proverbs 20:12,24). “The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor
the ear filled with hearing… I have seen all the works that are done under the
sun; and, behold, all is vanity
and vexation of spirit” (Ecclesiastes 1:8,14).
“The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19).
There
is a wisdom that transcends
The
hearing ear and seeing eye.
The
wisdom of this world ends
In
ignorance when one will die.
Though
God has made our senses well,
They
never can be satisfied,
Nor
by perception can they quell
The
doubts that loom when one has died.
The
Lord our God will give us vision
Exceeding
what our eyes can see,
So
we may make a wise decision
And
trust Him for eternity.
The
fool has no curriculum
To
teach where souls are really going.
This
world’s way, so wearisome,
Is
ever learning, never knowing.
The
world’s dogma in our schools
Demands
that we must think in kind.
It’s
better to be counted fools
Than
led in lockstep with the blind.
The
world gives its explanation:
All
things beheld beneath the sun
Evolved
by vanity, vexation,
And
meaningless in all that’s done.
Is
not this pure insanity,
As
they have willfully ignored
The
truth they cloak with vanity
In
order to reject the Lord?
O
Lord, we thank You for the truth
That
sets us free from such deceit,
So
we may thereby train our youth
As
arrows that will not retreat.
Lord,
grant us wisdom from Your Word
To
preach the Gospel of Your grace,
So
weary souls may be assured
And
find in You their Hiding Place.
