“Thinkest
thou this to be right?... None saith, Where is God my Maker… who teacheth us
more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of
heaven... Although thou sayest thou shalt not see Him, yet judgment is before
Him; therefore trust thou in Him” (Job 35:2-14). “The counsels of the
wicked are deceit... The way of a fool is right in his own eyes” (Proverbs
12:5,15). “Who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been
His counselor?” (Romans 11:34).
The
teachers of this earth abound,
Corrupted
in their thoughts and ways,
Who
see no trace of God around
In
spite of all that God displays.
They
do not care to give much thought
To
how creation is designed
Or
ask the questions that they ought
About
the evidence they find.
They
say with blinded confidence
That
they shall never see the Lord,
Yet
there is ample evidence
That
they have willfully ignored.
Their
counsels, therefore, are deceit,
Though
they profess that they are wise.
They’ll
stand before God’s judgment seat,
Beholding
Him whom they despise.
At
last, if they refuse to know
The
counsel of the Lord they scorn,
They’ll
reap the harvest that they sow
And
wish that they were never born.
Forsake
the counsel of the fools
Who
yet refuse the grace of God!
Reject
their dogma taught in schools,
Which
hardened atheists applaud!
O
Lord, we know You will reveal
Your
mind to those who seek Your face.
It
is to this end that we kneel
And
pray that more will find Your grace.
We
thank You, Lord, for Your salvation
And
for the counsel of Your Spirit
Still turning souls from condemnation
Who
humbly trust You when they hear it.
