King
Solomon’s fame had been heard by the queen;
She
traveled from Sheba to prove what she heard.
By
answers she heard and the things she had seen,
Her
heart was convinced and was joyfully stirred.
The
half of his greatness was not even told:
The
wisdom she heard then exceeded his fame,
But
greater than Solomon we may behold
In
Christ now exalted above every name!
How
happy are these who have trusted the Lord,
Who
stand now before Him to hear and obey!
The
half of His wisdom has not been explored
Which
He teaches sinners who turn to His way.
The
secrets in Christ will exceed expectation;
The
fear of the Lord is where wisdom begins,
For
when we’re convinced that we need His salvation
We
marvel at grace that removes all our sins.
We
haven’t heard half of the wisdom we’ll hear
When
we shall see Jesus our Lord face to face.
That
day is approaching, we see it draw near,
When
He shall unveil more fully His grace.
O
Lord, we give thanks for Your wisdom and love
Conveyed
in the truth that Your Gospel imparts.
We
haven’t heard half of what we’ll hear above,
But
what You have shown us is thrilling our hearts!
