"Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: let them praise the name of the LORD: for His name alone is excellent" (Psalm 148:12,13). "Be wise in thy latter end… The counsel of the LORD, that shall stand" (Proverbs 19:20,21). "The prophets prophesy falsely… and My people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?" (Jeremiah 5:31). "I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3).
Let men and
maidens, old and young,
Now gather at
our Savior's throne,
And let His
praise on every tongue
Declare His
excellence alone!
Though mockers
in the earth arise
To scorn the
Gospel we defend,
The Lord shall
vindicate the wise
And judge the
scorner in the end.
Yet fools who
choose to mock the Lord
Shall soon
regret the end thereof
For all the
grace that they ignored
When they
refused our Savior's love.
O Lord, the
great supremacy
Of faith's
unshakable foundation
Is found in the
simplicity
Displayed in Your
complete salvation!
