"O give thanks unto the LORD… Who remembered us in our low estate… and hath redeemed us from our enemies" (Psalm 136:1,23,24). "He saw that there was no man… there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him" (Isaiah 59:16). "Now is Christ risen from the dead… Death is swallowed up in victory… O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?... Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:20,54-57).
Give thanks to
the Lord who became
Our risen
Redeemer and Savior.
He bore our
transgressions and shame,
And graciously clothed
us with favor.
He saw there was
no intercessor,
No hero to keep
us from harm,
No one to redeem
the transgressor,
Then saved us,
therefore, with His arm!
Christ died on
the cross in our stead
To purchase our
peace that He gave,
But now He is raised
from the dead,
So where is your
vict'ry, O grave?
O Risen
Redeemer, we praise
Your name we delight
to extol!
Your vict'ry
forever displays
Your infinite
love for each soul!
