"Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth… My son, be wise, and make My heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth Me… Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds" (Proverbs 27:1,11,23). "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation" (Hebrews 9:27,28).
The day for
diligence is here;
Tomorrow 's day is
unexplored.
Until our Savior
shall appear,
We daily live to
please our Lord.
The Lord has
called us to be wise
And thereby give
Him satisfaction,
That He may thus
refute the lies
Of Satan's subtle,
dark distraction.
The Lord has
given us His words
And called us to
be diligent
To teach them to
His flocks and herds
And to the lost
who may repent.
O Lord, the day
for diligence
Is now, for soon
we meet the grave.
Till then, we preach
with confidence
To sinners whom
You died to save.
