"What doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul… for thy good?... He is thy praise" (Deuteronomy 10:12,13,21). "Seek the LORD, and His strength: seek His face evermore" (Psalm 105:4). "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10). "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
There
is a recipe for rest
When
troubling times shall take their toll:
We
need to follow God's request
To
love Him with our heart and soul.
Come,
walk with God in all His ways,
Which
He commands us for our good,
To
fear the Lord, to give Him praise,
And
to obey Him as we should.
We
find the strength of Christ our Savior
When
by His fear, we seek His face.
We
find His wisdom and His favor
When
we are resting in His grace.
O
Lord, by Your authority,
We
come to find our rest in You.
There
is no other recipe;
There
is no other avenue.
