"The life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls" (Leviticus 17:11). "The redemption of their soul is precious... But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave" (Psalm 49:8,15). "The righteous hath hope in his death" (Proverbs 14:32). "Having... boldness... by the blood of Jesus, let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised" (Hebrews 10:19,23).
There is a boldness in the hearts
Of those trust in Christ alone
With righteousness that God imparts
By blood redemption of His own.
As in the days of Noah's flood
When in the ark was life and favor,
We find our refuge in the blood
Of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
As in the blood is life and breath
(And to this rule there's no exemption),
Our boldness and our hope in death
Is by the blood of Christ's redemption.
Our boldness by Your blood, O Lord,
Now rests on promises You gave.
Your spotless life which You outpoured
Has robbed the terror from the grave.
