“As
thy days, so shall thy strength be. The
eternal God is thy Refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…. Happy art
thou… O people saved by the LORD!” (Deuteronomy 33:25-29). “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:30,31).
Once
we were fainting, but strength was received.
Once
we were guilty, but judgment was waived.
We
cried to the Lord, and on Him we believed,
And
suddenly we were eternally saved!
Once
we were hopeless with no hiding place.
Once
we were filled with distress and alarms.
Now
God is our Refuge, and in His embrace
With
life everlasting, we’re held in His arms!
How
happy are we who are saved by the Lord!
His
grace is sufficient for all of our days.
His
arms underneath us will surely afford
A
Refuge forever with unending praise.
O
Lord, we give thanks for the answer that came
To
those in distress, asking “What must I do?”
Your
promise yet stands: those who call on Your
name
Are
suddenly saved by believing on You!
