"And Jacob said... I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth which Thou has showed unto Thy servant" (Genesis 32:10). "Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will He teach sinners in the way. The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way" (Psalm 25:9).
How good the Lord is to the meek
To guide and teach them in His way.
How good it is to hear Him speak
And also do what He will say.
The meek are sinners who have known
They're neither worthy of the least
Of all the truth that God has shown
Nor all the mercies He increased.
With Jacob we must take our place
To own our true unworthiness,
That God may thereby show His grace
To sinners He would teach and bless.
We thank You, Lord, for heaven's love
Where humble sinners find their rest
And for Your mercies from above
Which to the meek You manifest.
