"I have waited for Thy salvation, O Lord.... But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive" (Genesis 49:18, 50:20). "O send out Thy light and Thy truth: let them lead me" (Psalm 43:3). "That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known unto thee this day, even to thee" (Proverbs 22:19). "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations" (2 Peter 2:9).
Our God knows the reason why trials are sent,
Though often His purpose is misunderstood.
Whatever may be in another's intent,
Our God is still guiding His plan for our good.
As children who need to be guided in youth,
So we are dependent on God's higher ways
To send out His light and His marvelous truth,
That we may be guided to live for His praise.
The Lord surely knows how to rescue our souls
And how to deliver in time of temptation.
Throughout every trial He wisely controls
And teaches us thereby to trust His salvation.
O Lord, we give thanks for Your mercies so great
We see in the guidance You daily impart.
Through trials You've taught us upon You to wait,
And trust You completely with all of our heart.
