There was a day
that came with anguish
When Samson's
brightness would turn dim,
For by Delilah
he would languish
Through her
seduction pressing him.
These things are
written for instruction
In view of
Samson's dreadful end,
Lest we be drawn
by the seduction
That bids us be
the world's friend.
Seduction has no
excellence
That can compare
with Christ our Savior.
In Christ we
find our soul's defense
And satisfaction
by His favor.
Lord, guard us
by the admonition
Regarding the
seduction shown
In Samson's
languishing condition,
That we may
praise Your name alone.
