Verily Verified

"Happy is he… whose hope is in the LORD his God… which keepeth truth forever" (Psalm 146:5,6).  "The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish" (Proverbs 10:28).  "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life... Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me" (John 5:24,39). 

All those who have hoped in the Lord

Are happy, and for a good reason,

For God verifies their reward,

Fulfilling His words in their season.

The Lord keeps His promise forever

And gives us a sure expectation,

Not based on our human endeavor,

But rather upon His salvation.

There's no persecution or strife

That threatens what God has assured,

For all who have Christ have His life,

As God has declared in His Word. 

Lord, all that You verily said 

Is verified clearly today. 

You promised to rise from the dead,

And proved that You do what You say.
