Give God Glory

Additional Quiet Time Poem:  
 
"Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.  Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name" (Psalm 29:1,2).  "Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah" (Genesis 23:1).   "When they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how He had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles" (Acts 14:27). 

We ought to give to God the strength

And glory that is due His name. 

Our days on earth are short in length

To spread the Gospel we proclaim. 

One hundred twenty-seven years

Had measured Sarah's life at last.

Our final day on earth yet nears

When opportunities are past. 

When Paul had gathered everyone 

To hear his missionary story,

He then rehearsed what GOD had done,

And rightly gave Him all the glory. 

O Lord, our days on earth are few

To give You glory with our praise. 

May every day be lived for You

Throughout the measure of our days.
