"Oh how great is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee… Thou shalt hide them in the secret of Thy presence" (Psalm 31:19,20). "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom… If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it" (Proverbs 9:10,12). "The LORD said unto her [Rebekah]… two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels… Thus Esau despised his birthright" (Genesis 25:23,34). "[The prison keeper] said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house" (Acts 16:30,31).
The goodness
that God will provide
Is seen in those
fearing the Lord.
In His secret
presence they hide,
And He is their
treasured Reward.
The Lord has
divided the wise
From those who
have carelessly scorned.
The mockers are
trusting in lies,
And thus they
refuse to be warned.
In Jacob and
Esau we find
Two manner of
people on earth.
One sees, but
the other is blind,
Despising the
right of his birth.
Divided, Lord,
from the despiser,
We answer all
those who have craved
The truth You
extend to the wiser:
Believe on the
Lord and be saved!
