"Blessed is the man… [whose] delight is in the law of the LORD… In His law doth he meditate… and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water" (Psalm 1:1-3). "The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life" (Proverbs 10:11). "There shall be a fountain opened… for sin and for uncleanness" (Zechariah 13:1). "Jesus stood and cried… If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spake He of the Spirit" (John 7:37-39).
The land is dry
wherein we dwell,
Yet we may bring
our sons and daughters
To Christ who leads
us to His well
That overflows
with living waters.
His Word in
which we meditate
Shall give us words
that satisfy
The need for
wisdom that is great
To show why Jesus
came to die.
Upon the cross
on Calvary's mountain,
Our Savior gave
Himself to be
For us a
sanctifying Fountain
That cleanses
from iniquity.
Lord, thank You
for Your invitation
To guilty
sinners who were cursed.
Your well of
waters in salvation
Completely
satisfy our thirst.
