Fuller Favor

"Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased" (Psalm 4:7).  "Good understanding giveth favor: but the way of transgressors is hard" (Proverbs 13:15).  "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  I am the good Shepherd: the good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep… and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand" (John 10:10,11,28). 

In contrast to the treasures stored

In every vault upon the earth,

There's fuller favor in our Lord,

With greater gladness, richer worth!  

Much greater goodness, fuller favor,

And truer treasure we have found

In Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior,

With endless blessings that abound. 

The thief comes not but for to steal: 

Be not deceived by his seduction! 

The ransom Jesus paid is real

That rescued us from our destruction! 

This fuller favor from Your hand,

O Lord, which You so freely give,

Cost more that we can understand:   

You gave Your life, that we might live!
