"LORD, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt prepare their heart, Thou wilt cause Thine ear to hear" (Psalm 10:17). "The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil" (Proverbs 19:23). "To Seth… was born… Enos: then BEGAN men to call upon the name of the LORD" (Genesis 4:26). "These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).
The Lord has
heard the deep desire
In humble hearts
He will prepare.
There is no
helper that is higher
Who listens to
the whispered prayer.
He teaches us in
peace and strife
To fear and
trust Him through it all.
He leads us safely
throughout life;
He hears us when
on Him we call.
When Seth was
born and Enos then,
Men called (at
last!) upon their God.
Before that time
the works of men
Were vain,
though many would applaud.
O Lord, we're
thankful that You hear
Our prayers in joy
or tribulation.
We find our peace
in You with cheer
As we rejoice in
Your salvation!
