"Unto Thee lift I up mine eyes, O Thou that dwellest in the heavens" (Psalm 123:1). "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter" (Proverbs 25:2). "I am God… declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure" (Isaiah 46:9,10). "It is written, Eye hath not seen… the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit" (1 Corinthians 2:9,10).
We
lift our eyes to heaven's throne
Where
God invites us to draw near
As
He enables all His own
To
see the truth that He makes clear.
It
is the glory of our God
To
hide the things that we've explored
Above
the folly men applaud,
Who
have no pleasure in the Lord.
Yet
God has hidden in plain sight
Prophetic
grace by which we're pardoned!
But
men loved darkness more than light,
And
thus their hearts by choice were hardened.
We
see, Lord, with enabled eyes,
The
Gospel, which we now proclaim,
Of
wondrous grace that justifies
All
those who call upon Your name.
