"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever" (Psalm 12:6,7). "The counsel of the LORD, that shall stand" (Proverbs 19:21). "I will... make her [Tyrus] like the top of a rock... for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD" (Ezekiel 26:4,5). "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (Matthew 5:18).
The words of God are surely pure,
And He preserves His words as well.
Be still and know that this is sure,
Though seeds of doubt are sown by hell.
The counsel of the Lord shall stand;
He does not ask for hell's permission!
The Lord will do as He has planned
Without recanting or revision.
As Tyrus was rebuked by God,
That city of Satanic pride,
The Lord stretched forth His judgment rod
And did as He had prophesied.
Your pure words, Lord, shall be fulfilled,
Preserved exactly as You say.
Upon this confidence we build
Till earth and heaven pass away.
