“Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot… Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” (1 Peter 1:18-23).
The
Lamb of God for us was slain;
For
us His precious blood was shed,
That
we may no more live in vain,
But
rather for the Lord instead.
Redeemed
therefore from vain behavior
Which
we received from our tradition,
We
found in Jesus Christ our Savior
New
life instead of dead religion.
The
seed by which we’re born again
From
God is incorruptible:
The
Word of God transforms us when
We
trust in Christ to save our soul.
The
Word of God forever stands
Unblemished,
like our Savior’s blood,
To
rescue us by His commands
Like
Noah’s ark throughout flood.
Lord,
thank You for redeeming love
That
paid redemption’s awful price
When
You descended from above
As
our unblemished Sacrifice.
O
Lord, by Your unblemished Word,
We
now proclaim Your great salvation.
O
may Your blessing now be heard
That
rescues us from condemnation!
