Visualize the Victory

“Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee?”  (Judges 4:14).  “O sing unto the LORD a new song; for He hath done marvelous things: His right hand, and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory.  The LORD hath made known His salvation… all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God” (Psalm 98:1-3).  “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10).   “With purpose of heart… cleave unto the Lord” (Acts 11:23).

Is this the day to close our eyes
And fold our hands in lethargy?
Should not we now be stirred to rise
Envisioning God’s victory?

Has not the Lord gone out ahead
With His right hand and holy arm?
Has not the Lord in triumph led
And saved us from eternal harm?

O sing a new song to the Lord
In view of all that He has done!
May Jesus Christ be thus adored
Considering His battle won!

In Christ our Lord is saving power;
His triumph on the cross was shown.
His name is still the strongest tower
Eternal souls have ever known!

The earth has seen His great salvation:
His grace and truth are on display!
He leads us in the declaration
That Christ is saving souls today!

Envision Christ victorious
Who promised He will never leave
As now He intercedes for us
And we with purpose to Him cleave.

O Lord, we magnify Your name
Recalling now Your wondrous cross
Where You were bearing all our shame
And saving us from endless loss!

Victorious Savior, here we stand,
As we are strengthened by Your grace,
To fight the good fight You command,
To keep the faith, and run the race!
