“Offer
unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High: and call upon Me in
the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me” (Psalm
50:14,15). “But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen” (2 Peter 3:18).
The
grace of our God is discovered in days
When
trouble arrives and there’s nowhere to go;
Nowhere,
that is, but the God of our praise,
To
call upon Him for the grace He’ll bestow!
The
Lord knows we need both the trouble and calm
In
order to grow in the grace that He gives.
Each
day of our life, like a differing psalm,
Should
manifest clearly that Christ in us lives.
We
ought to give thanks every day with a vow
To
live for the glory of Jesus our Savior.
We
ought to give glory, not later, but NOW,
To
God who delivers our souls by His favor.
We
grow in the grace and the knowledge of Christ
By
trusting Him always, in joy or in sorrow,
And
thus we’ll discover His grace has sufficed,
Assured
He’ll be faithful today and tomorrow.
O
Lord, we give thanks for Your marvelous grace
By
which we are saved and are kept in Your love.
O
may there be growth in our life we can trace,
Displaying
below that it comes from above.
