“Because
thou hast made the LORD, which is
my refuge, even the most High,
thy habitation, there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come
nigh thy dwelling” (Psalm 91:9,10). “Our
Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us… hath
given us everlasting
consolation and good hope through grace” (2 Thessalonians 2:16,17).
Because
we have found such a safe habitation
And
refuge in Him who has loved us so well,
No
evil can part us from His great salvation
Or
spoil His resting place wherein we dwell.
Because
we have fled to our refuge in Christ,
We’ve
found consolation enduring forever,
For
God has declared that His cross has sufficed
To
give us assurance that no one can sever.
O
Lord, we are debtors to Your wondrous love
Extending
Your comfort and good hope through grace.
How
sweet is this heavenly hope from above
Which
holds us in Your everlasting embrace!
