"Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can show forth all His praise?" (Psalm 106:2).
Who can utter all the acts
Attributed to God our Lord?
Who can marshal all the facts
To show why He should be adored?
We see this task is far too great
To ever utter all His praise,
When we begin to contemplate
His mighty acts and wondrous ways!
Still we have the invitation
To ponder things we have explored
Throughout the wonders of creation,
And O what praise all these afford!
Yet now we come to search His love
And find His Gift unspeakable
In Christ who left His throne above
To pay the sinner's debt in full.
The praise we offer just begins
To scratch the surface of His deeds!
The love it took to purge our sins,
Our finite thinking far exceeds!
Lord, we delight to search Your fame
As we explore Your grace and power.
So give us help, Lord, to proclaim
Your praise unending every hour.
