"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain (1 Corinthians 9:24). "Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12:1,2).
There is a prize for us who run,
While looking to our Lord:
To hear at last His words: "Well done!"
Shall be enough reward.
Run to win, yet not compete
With others in this race,
But to cast at Jesus' feet,
A crown that's won by grace.
Let us run then to obtain
That crown we'll long to give,
And we will not have run in vain
Nor shall we vainly live.
