"For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever" (Psalm 12:5-7). "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart.... For the Lord shall be thy confidence.... He giveth grace unto the lowly" (Proverbs 3:5,26,34).
God has risen to give aid
To the poor and needy soul;
God has said, "Be not afraid,"
Showing us He's in control.
Let the wolf, then, huff and puff;
Soon his words shall disappear.
God has spoken; that's enough
To deliver us from fear.
God preserves His words forever,
And His truth is our defense.
Earth shall pass, but His words never!
Let this be our confidence.
