Psalm 119:112 ~ I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes always, even unto the end.
Proverbs 17:3 ~ The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
Malachi 3:18 ~ Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Matthew 14:30,31 ~ [Peter]cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus… caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Though we incline our heart to do
The will of God as we think best,
And our intentions may seem true,
The Lord subjects us to His test.
The Lord will teach us to discern
Our attitude in every action.
When trials come, we thereby learn
That doubt arises from distraction.
