Wealth of His Way

"I have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies, as much as in all riches" (Psalm 119:14).  "Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death… and he that winneth souls is wise" (Proverbs 11:4,30).  "God… hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in… our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel" (2 Timothy 1:8-10). 

Rejoice now in the gracious way

That God imparts His saving health! 

He drew our hearts to humbly pray

And find in Him eternal wealth! 

The fleeting riches of this earth

Are worthless when a person dies.

But souls, to God, have endless worth, 

So he that wins a soul is wise. 

Our God has saved us by His grace

Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. 

How wonderful it is to trace

His purpose in His saving favor! 

O Lord, You saw our poverty

And brought to us salvation's treasure:

The wealth of immortality,

The way of life, and heaven's pleasure.
