That all men die
is obvious;
The evidence is
tangible,
But that is not
the end of us,
In view of our
eternal soul.
The day of death
is just a door;
It is the way of
all the earth.
Eternity yet
holds in store
The endless joy
of our new birth.
Alas, not all
are born again,
Though by God's
Spirit, they are urged.
We take the
Gospel to all men
To show the
grace by which we're purged.
Lord, though we
share this common ground
With all who see
their coming grave,
We're heralds of
the joyful sound
Of grace and
truth by which You save!
