Divine Direction

"The LORD… beholdeth all the sons of men… He considereth all their works… Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear Him… to deliver their soul " (Psalm 33:13-19).  "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established… By the fear of the LORD men depart from evil… A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps" (Proverbs 16:3,6,9).  "Paul answered… I am ready… to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus... The will of the Lord be done" (Acts 21:13,14). 

The Lord considers all our hearts,

And all our works to Him are clear. 

We'll have direction He imparts

If we will walk in godly fear. 

If we commit our works to God

And seek His will in each decision,

We need not heed who will applaud

Or who will mock with their derision. 

Our plans, so filled with imperfection,

Are redirected from God's throne

By grace that grants us His direction

With wisdom greater than our own. 

O Lord, as You have shown through Paul,

Divine direction You instill

Is clear to those who hear Your call

And choose to do Your perfect will.
